Tower defense
Spider Defense: A cozy miniature tower defense
Cute teal spiders on round wooden platforms guard a glowing, web-wrapped egg from waves of garden bugs, across eight miniature worlds.
Match. Squash. Save the Kitchen.Fuzzy cartoon spiders have invaded the kitchen. Swap glossy candies to make matches, and every match next to a spider squashes it.
The game
Spider Squash is a cozy match-3 puzzle game for phones. Cute fuzzy spiders have invaded the kitchen: swap candy tiles to make matches, and a match next to a spider squashes it.
The spiders are board pieces with personalities. They crawl, spin webs, light fuses, gum candies with goo and turn ghostly, so the board changes after every move. Five hundred levels in ten stages, each stage with a new twist.
Highlights

Spiders are never matched themselves: every match group next to one lands a hit, and so does every blast. Armoured spiders take two hits; the Big Boss covers four cells and takes up to fourteen.

A 2 x 2 square makes a Swatter that flies to the most useful target, four in a line a Rocket, an L or T a Bomb, five in a line a Color Spinner. Swap two together: Bomb plus Bomb is a 7 x 7 blast, two Spinners clear the board.

Silk stuck to the board, spider nests, gift boxes, honey that drips, sugar locks, silk tunnels, ticking gumballs and conveyor belts, each taught on its own first level, then mixed in a grand finale.
Levels are themed pictures and structures, not busy rectangles: a frying pan, a rocket, a gingerbread house, a cookie jar, an owl, a jack-o-lantern, crate shelves and jail cells.
Win in a row and the next level starts with free power-ups: a Rocket, then a Bomb, then a Color Spinner. Hammer, Spider Trap and Spider Spray boosters help on hard boards, and spare moves turn into a Squash Frenzy of rockets.
Pops rise in pitch with each cascade, a squash lands with a splat and a hit-stop, and combos earn a "Sweet!", "Tasty!" or "Squashtastic!". The spiders breathe, blink and look nervous when a match is about to land.
Characters
Eight kinds of spiders, plus a trapped friend to rescue. Each one moves or acts after every move you make.

Crawls one cell each turn.

Crawls two cells each turn.

Takes two hits: the first cracks its spiky shell off.

Every other turn, shoots a web onto a nearby candy.

A fuse counts down from six. Squash it first and it blasts a 3 x 3 for you.

Never moves, but gums a neighbouring candy with goo.

Turns ghostly every other turn; then only power-ups and boosters can hit it.

Covers 2 x 2 cells, takes 8 to 14 hits and calls in spiderlings.

A baby spider caught in a cage. Break it open to set them free.
